You will manage a team that:
- Installs, configures, troubleshoots ARCHER hardware. Maintains accountability of distributed hardware baselines. Operates the ARCHER application in both stand-alone and networked modes. Implements corrective and preventive maintenance on the software tool and underlying systems.
- Develops, tests, and deploys software updates and patches. Customizes data collection modules to integrate with JLCCTC simulations (e.g., WARSIM) and future exercise platforms. Maintains version control and user guides for all ARCHER components.
- Configures ARCHER to ingest live and historical simulation data across functional areas—Ground, Air, Logistics, Intelligence, and Fires. Ensures data integrity, redundancy, and on-site/off-site storage for future reuse.
- Administers ARCHER’s file-share and web-based portals, enterprise e-mail, MS Teams, SharePoint, and chat tools. Verifies LAN/WAN connectivity for up to 150 concurrent client devices. Provides redundancy planning and data synchronization across distributed training sites.
- Automates generation of real-time and historical reports (combat power, effectiveness, weapon counts, logistics, volume of fire). Scales data for AAR themes and export reports to Microsoft Office formats (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Produces a 3D Common Operational Picture (COP) displaying BLUEFOR/OPFOR dispositions with time-stamped replay for adjudication. Performs GIS analysis for terrain reconnaissance and overlay exercise units on digital maps. Supports on-the-spot situational awareness briefs for key leaders.
- Collaborates with exercise planners to set up ARCHER capabilities for mission rehearsals. Enables and supports all briefings, AARs, and visual displays during live training events. Troubleshoots issues in real time to preserve exercise flow.
- Works within Agile teams to design and implement new ARCHER features. Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Coordinate with DevOps and network teams to ensure scalable, maintainable software releases.

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- Meet DoDM 8140 qualifications with primary DoD Cyber Work Force (DCWF) role of Technical Support Specialist and secondary roles of System Administrator and Product Support Manager at tier, Intermediate
- One (1) year of experience with Military training and training support
- One (1) year of experience in integrating training environments, planning architectures, and stimulation of Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCiS) in support of unit training events and distributed exercises
- One (1) year of experience in performing system enhancements and installing software updates
- Requires a Secret clearance
- 1+ years of professional software development experience in Agile
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#
- Familiarity with relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases, data modeling, and ETL processes
- Expertise in test-driven development, unit/integration testing frameworks, and code quality tools
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and Web services administration
- Hands-on experience with GIS platforms and 3D visualization technologies
- Scripting automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python for deployment and monitoring tasks
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field—or equivalent experience
- IAT certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or equivalent Information Assurance credential
